The present study offers partial support for the view that a therapist's empathy is related to the ways in which he describes his emotional experiences, and suggests ways in which further research might explore this relationship. (Author)

Primary purposes of the study were to determine if mentally retarded students, when compared to nonretarded students, exhibited a deficit in the early stages of rote verbal learning, and whether such an early stage deficit could be reduced by pretraining. (KW)

Correlations were obtained between level of aspiration, gambling, and projective test variables.
