The effects of adjunct postquestions in an individualized training course were tested. Percent of adjunct questions identical to the lesson and final test questions was varied in four conditions: no questions, 0 percent, 50 percent, and 100 percent identical. Explored behaviors of students at various times during an examination to examine the relationship between test anxiety and test performance. Results indicated that low test anxious students differed significantly on all eight dependent variables with the level of test anxiety having a significant effect. (Author)

Receiver difference indices were developed to describe comprehension of organized and disorganized spoken messages. For each of four subsamples of Olympic-quality athletes--14 discus, 8 hammer, 11 javelin, and 12 shotput measures of 19 personality constructs yielded only two statistically significant validity coefficients (out of 76 possible significant indices) in the prediction of average length of throw. Time to learn, intelligence, and school achievement were correlated for fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade children. Time to learn was a strong correlate of school achievement. Correlations were lower between time to learn and IQ, and between IQ and achievement. (Author/RD)

This study examined blood pressure levels of married women in relation to such work-related variables as work load, satisfaction with work, reported strain, and evaluated performance. Differences in work load were unrelated to blood pressure levels. However, currently unemployed working women had lower levels. (Author)
