Practices in educational program evaluation were examined through analyses of reports submitted to the Department of Education's Joint Dissemination Review Panel during the years 1980-1983. Content analyses of 232 reports yielded descriptive profiles of the educational programs and their evaluations. (TJH)

Extension Food and Nutrition Plans of Work (POWs) were analyzed to determine program content, target audience, delivery methods, evaluation tools, and expected impact. The study indicated that Extension's strength in nutrition is family-based, interpersonal instruction in life-cycle nutrition and food management. (JOW)

Using a 1976 study as a benchmark, the data on Black women in eight encyclopedias for children were examined. Many omissions and limitations, and little updating or revision of entries over the past ten years were found. Findings are presented in a chart, and three references are listed. (MES)

Provides a content analysis of advertising visuals--illustrations and photographs--to determine the frequency with which the basic visual communication functions are used.
