Urberg, Kathryn A.; Docherty, Edward M. – Developmental Psychology, 1976
Five role-taking tasks were arranged in a task hierarchy on the basis of their content and structural aspects. These tasks were then presented to 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds and the data analyzed by scalogram and cluster analysis. The results supported the hypothesis and revealed a fundamental structural difference among tasks. (JMB)

Editors of 33 library journals were surveyed to identify the number of unsolicited manuscripts received and published annually, and to examine the process for selecting those to be published. The findings reveal a high rejection rate (77.3 percent) with little reliance on external judges to review potential articles. (Author/JAB)

The essays of 480 children from 6 to 14 years of age were content analyzed along 21 dimensions of friendship expectation. Results supported an invariant-sequence interpretation for the 11 dimensions which increased significantly with age. (Author/JMB)
