Peer reviewedHagan, Michael P.; King, Sandra L. – Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, 1997
Analyzed two prison psychologists' accuracy of predictions of criminality to see how reliably such predictions could be made. Results indicate that the psychologists, using clinical judgment alone, accurately identified a subpopulation significantly more likely to engage in future acts of violence within a one-year follow-up period. (RJM)
