The Home Environment Review was administered to the parents of sixty-seven Head Start children. In addition, the Caldwell Preschool Inventory was given to the children. A relationship was found between the child's achievement in school and the quality of his home environment. (Author)

The results of three experiments involving 6 young children suggest that the generalized imitation effect may not be entirely due to the child's inability to discriminate reinforced fron nonreinforced occasions. Examined the preference for men over women as business partners in three studies. Results showed that both men and women tended to use masculine names when naming imaginary partners, and chose attractive males most and unattractive females least when choosing imaginary partners from photographs. Surveyed 5,494 college admissions officers to determine current salaries, personal characteristics, and institutional data as a guide to estimating an admissions officer's expected salary. Compared Moos Family Environment Scale scores from 15 physically abusive families with scores from 15 nonabusive families. Results showed that abusive families were less supportive of one another and less free to express their wants and desires, more independent, more likely to express anger and aggression, and more rigid.
