Discusses 15 job search rules for teachers which emphasize the importance of obtaining appropriate references, following proven interview techniques, and maintaining up-to-date reference files. Studied factors that might differentially underlie test anxiety and academic performance of college students (N=72). Results revealed that high anxious students differed from low anxious students on traditional cognitive and somatic indicators of text anxiety but not on any measure of study or test-taking skills. Compared background characteristics of 49 Hispanic technical college students to those of 53 nonminority students. Findings suggest that socioeconomic factors are influential in the academic achievement of the Hispanic group, particularly in mathematics. The relative influence of scholastic achievement, intelligence, athletic ability, and ethnic origin on the formation of friendships among pupils in two Israel elementary schools was explored.
