For the untrained subjects, only attendants achieved a lower approach score than trained therapists. Attendants achieved lower approach scores than other untrained groups for two of the patient types. Results showed that the reading placebo treatment was as effective as group desensitization in reducing reports of anxiety. Also revealed was that 26 of the 28 treatment subjects indicated on final evaluatory questionnaire that they had profited from study. (EK)

Studied interaction styles of premarital couples (N=148) and developed a typology of couple interaction at two points in time before marriage.
