Traces the development of a rapid, easy to use, behaviorally oriented communication assessment scale. A series of studies designed to determine its validity, reliability, and usefulness as an outcome measure are summarized. This study adapted the Hidden Figures Test for use on PLATO and determined the reliability of the computerized version compared to the paper and pencil version. Results indicate the test was successfully adapted with some modifications, and it was judged reliable although it may be measuring additional constructs. (MBR)

Describes a study designed to evaluate the relationship between performance on the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) Test and the GED (General Educational Development) Test.
