In order to determine the concurrent validity of the Language Assessment Scale I as a measure of English language proficiency, test scores were compared to teacher judgment as reflected in a rating scale. Scores correlated .73 with a quantitative measure of teacher judgment. (Author/CTM)

Discusses the Adapted Modified Role Repertory Test (AMRRT), which was developed to measure cognitive complexity in children. AMRRT scores correlated significantly with age, thus supporting the assumption that cognitive complexity increases as a function of age. Offers strong empirical support for the construct validity of the AMRRT. (Author)

An eight-item instrument was constructed to measure the skills represented by four of Carkhuff's scales of facilitative interpersonal functioning. Subjects responded to stimulus statements presented on a video cassette. Results supported the usefulness of this approach to evaluate interpersonal functioning. (Author/RC)

This article presents the initial methodology involved in the construction of a self-report instrument of delinquent behavior, as well as the comparison of 10 frequency and seriousness weighting schemes. Results indicate that the inclusion of weighting schemes does not strengthen the instrument or add to its applicability. (Author)

Using the Jesness Inventory (JI), personality patterns of delinquents were compared with a socially acting-out group and a control group. The Asocial Index was significant across and between all groups with a progressive increase in T scores directly related to delinquent involvement. (Author)
