Holland, John L.; And Others – Measurement and Evaluation in Guidance, 1976
The realistic competency and activity scales of the Self-Directed Search were revised to learn if women's scores on these scales could be increased without reducing their concurrent and construct validity for men and women. Results indicate the revisions increase women's realistic scores, but fail to affect their high point codes. (Author)

Inspection of the 1972 revised norms for the Stanford-Binet demonstrate that the average mental age for a particular chronological age (CA) no longer numerically corresponds to that CA. Thus, mental ages derived from the test cannot any longer be interpreted as mental ages. A table of test ages based on the 1972 norms is provided. (Author)

Hoffman, Seymour; And Others – Psychology in the Schools, 1975
The Quick Test, Form I (QT) and the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, Form L-M (SB) were administered to 70 preschool children. Results raise serious doubt about the validity of the QT functioning. Further research is indicated. (Author)

Russell, Elbert W. – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1975
This is the preliminary report of a new memory scoring method. Using the Wechsler Memory Scale as its base, it scores lateralized verbal and figural memory and long- and short-term memory. Six independent memory scales were developed. Studies of 105 subjects demonstrate that these scales are reliable and valid. (Author)

A test of the personality constructs hypothesized by Holland was performed using a list of adjectives believed to be descriptive of the respective types. The sample used the adjectives to describe themselves in a manner consistent with Holland's model, however the correspondence was closer for males than females. (Author)
