To establish the relationship between categorization ability and psychometric intelligence, 98 ninth graders in Israel were instructed to group 28 common Hebrew nouns into categories and were given a battery of intelligence tests. Studied 622 adults and 211 undergraduates to determine the relationship of perceptual speed and speed of marking psychometric answer sheets to individual differences in performance on psychometric tests.
