The Wechsler Memory Scale--Revised (D. Wechsler, 1987) and the Memory Assessment Scales (J. Williams, 1991) were administered to 30 head-injury patients, and results were compared across four dimensions of memory. Measures of repetitive finger movement are used in neuropsychological evaluation of children and adults. A comparison of the Light Beam Finger and Foot Tapping Device with the Halstead-Reitan Finger Tapping Test (R. A survey of 26 Rorschach experts and 19 students of Rorschach use was conducted to help students using the Exner Comprehensive System determine whether to code movement for nouns with definitions that include movement. Experts and students did not reach agreement, but a literature review suggests such nouns should often be coded as movement. (SLD)

A Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) based classification system (E. I. Megargee, 1977) was extended to female prisoners, using MMPI results for 400 inmates. Using revised rules for classifying the original MMPIs and MMPI-2s, 386 women could be classified on both versions, and 87% were classified identically. (SLD)

Confirmatory factor analysis was used to evaluate the factor structure of the eight cross-informant scales of the Child Behavior Checklist (T. M. Aschenbach, 1991) using data from 631 youth ages 8 to 18. Results support Aschenbach's eight- correlated-factor model and the construct validity of the measure's scores. (SLD)

A new qualitative scoring system for the Rey Visual Memory Test was tested for its ability to distinguish between malingerers and nonmalingerers. The new system, based on the types of errors made, was able to distinguish between 53 psychiatrically disabled and 64 normal nonmalingerers, and between nonmalingerers and 91 possible malingerers.
