Morgan, Barrie S. – Journal of Marriage and the Family, 1981
Investigated the impact of the residential segregation of social status groups on choice of marriage partner in New Zealand. Data suggested that homogamy and propinquity are independent influences on choice of a spouse. Segregation does not interact with distance to circumscribe choice, but it is important in its own right. (Author)

This study indicates that the Modified Questionnaire on the Occupational Status of Women may be reliably and validly used to measure counselors' and counselor educators' attitudes with respect to the occupational status of women. Construct validity of the questionnaire should be reevaluated when suitable data become available. (Author/AL)

Investigates the relationship between wage-earner status, occupational level, and job satisfaction. Findings of this study suggest that sex is a more important determinant of job satisfaction than wage-earner status, and occupational level is a better predictor of job satisfaction than either sex or wage-earner status.
