Saylor, Conway Fleming; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1984
Presents data from studies designed to determine the psychometric properties of the Children's Depression Inventory (CDI). Subjects included 294 school children and 269 children who were psychiatric inpatients. Results showed the CDI can distinguish children with emotional distress from normal school children. (BH)

A longitudinal study of child behavior and health in a newly urbanized part of Khartoum was carried out in 1979-1980 on 245 children 3 through 15 years of age. Developed a true-false scale to measure social fear, using procedures to maximize reliability and minimize response set bias (N=910). Interviews with selected subjects (N=44) confirmed that the scale measures social fear, and the scale was found to correlate with previously developed schizotypy scales (N=252). (Author/JAC)
