Demonstrated the use of quantitative content validity procedures in the development of a job-related behavioral rating scale criterion for entry-level psychiatric aides. Found that 78 of 83 items were significantly job-relevant using the computation procedures of both Lawshe and Aiken. (JAC)

Results indicated that students in counselor education were very similar to other Master's degree students on all but two scales of the Edwards. Counselors were found to be significantly more nurturant and less dominant than were administrators and supervisors. (Author)

The stability of children's behavior disorders was studied, using Adelaide versions of the Conners teacher and parent rating scales, with 256 five to twelve year olds. Of the 20 scales, 14 had high or moderate test-retest stability over the one-year interval. Most scales also showed discrimination validity over this time. (Author/CL)

Subjects responded to questionnaires and rated events in the Social Readjustment Rating Scale. Some were given psychophysical training before rating events. Use of Carkhuff level 3 response, a Carkhuff level 5 response, and probing with regard to perceived helpfulness were investigated by having inmates view videotapes of eight role-played counselor-inmate interactions.
