Since 1970 North Hennepin Community College in Minneapolis has enrolled 3,411 in its Seniors on Campus program for senior citizens. The key to initiation and continuing development of the program described here is involvement of senior citizens themselves in the Senior Advisory Committee. (JT)

The significance of our findings is that as the population enrolling in postsecondary education shifts from the traditional student to the nontraditional, as the new market for postsecondary education becomes a greater proportion of the total, the response on the part of all the players in our institutions must change.
