The quality of, importance of, and provision for 10 student personnel services were evaluated at Iowa State University. Data from administrators, faculty, and students were analyzed. All groups agreed on the importance of the existing services, but faculty and administrators percieved program quality to be higher than did the students. (Author)

Examines the perceptions of elderly viewers about the usefulness of television commercials in making consumer decisions. Variables considered include frequency of viewing, as well as education, race, age, sex, occupation, and income of viewers. From this study of kindergarten children, the author concludes that drawing should be recognized as an important educational activity that helps children to learn and remember the visual characteristics of the figures they draw, and that it does so more effectively than does mere observation or tracing of those figures. Youths perceive mothers and fathers as more conservative or traditional than their parents' responses justify. Youths exaggerate parental agreement. The most disturbing result was the extent of disagreement in parents' and teachers' perceptions of the problem behaviors of Black emotionally disturbed children. There was agreement in perceptions of White emotionally disturbed children, facilitating communication. High levels of parental involvement are recommended. (Author)
