A model is presented which can help the cooperative program coordinator monitor the direction and degree of trends in cooperative wage strength as well as the degree of compression or expansion of cooperative wages from year to year. The Youth Leadership and Life Skills Development Scale was completed by 282 of 316 Iowa Future Farmers of America (FFA) members. The strongest relationship appeared between their scores and FFA leadership activities.
