This document presents statistical data on the variables that affect the education of children aged 5 to 18 living in households. The data are culled from the October Current Population Surveys (CPS) for 1977, 1982, and 1983, and the March CPS for 1978, 1983, and 1984. The following variables are examined: (1) poverty; (2) race/ethnicity; (3) enrollment; (4) family structure; (5) family size; (6) maternal employment; (7) parents' educational attainment; (8) residential mobility; (9) grade placement; and (10) modal grade.
