Developing Implementation Guidance and Supports for the Early Literacy Blueprint. ED#2022-R1-I-0006
Region 1 Comprehensive Center
The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) has invested in a multifaceted effort to improve and sustain literacy outcomes for all students to address the declining literacy rates in Vermont. This project summary describes how the Region 1 Comprehensive Center partnered with the AOE to develop an early literacy playbook to operationalize the Blueprint for Early Literacy Comprehensive System of Services to strengthen the foundational early literacy (PreK-3rd grade) skills in Vermont. The Playbook was designed to elevate the use of evidence-based literacy practices and align and integrate literacy efforts with other key initiatives in Vermont.
