Consumption logs track decisions, responses, and activities, thus offering a pedagogical tool that raises awareness, provides information for comparison, and helps students connect abstract ideas with concrete, personal examples. Pairing these logs with any number of assignments, including journals, short responses, and critical thought papers, increases their potential for promoting student learning.
