The relationship of initial speechreading performance scores to final performance scores following shortterm training was determined for 30 normal-hearing, sighted adults. Results indicated a highly significant linear relationship between pre- and posttest scores. Ss with higher pretest scores tended to have a greater increase in performance than those with lower pretest scores. (Author/CL)
