The proposition that age at first marriage is inversely related to the risk of divorce was examined by means of detailed age-duration-specific divorce rates for California 1969. A strong inverse relationship was found for male ages at marriage 18 through 25 and female ages at marriage 16 through 24. (Author)

Interrelationships between patterns of drug abuse and personality and motivation were determined for male and female subjects. Significant sex differences were found with respect to drug behavior. Accelerated massed desensitization and anxiety management training were compared with standard systematic desensitization in terms of reducing self-reported test anxiety in high test-anxious college students. The reactive effect of self-monitoring was examined in three experiments. Some results indicated that self-monitoring was reactive, providing a performance goal or feedback augmented the reactive effects of self-monitoring, and the act of self-recording led to behavior change. (Author)
