Hendon, David H.; Barlow, Judith L. – Training, 1985
Presents (with tongue in cheek) a four-style behavior model guaranteed to produce excellence in the four types of trainees: nematodes (docile but learn nothing), gerbils (fond of noncompetitive games and hugging), warthogs (like to attend expensive seminars), and Cro-Magnon (like to interpret to others as opposed to actually learning anything…

Kirkland, John; Brennan, Michael – Exceptional Child, 1985
An approach is outlined involving ratings on bi-polar "temperament" dimensions of behaviors which a child may display. These data are then subjected to a cluster analysis which displays correspondences graphically, in a form which can be discussed directly. An example of coping with crying babies is provided. (Author/CL)

Bornstein, Marc H.; And Others – Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, 1986
Two variants of the habituation paradigm were used to investigate fine orientation discrimination and shape constancy in 34 young infants. (HOD)
