The effects of feedback on the approaches of 20 hyperactive and 20 hypoactive children (ages 6 to 10) to a vigilance task were studied. The Group Test of Openness (GTO) was shown to have a moderate degree of stability. Predictive validity was demonstrated through a 14-week high school course in counseling skills in which scores on the GTO increased. Megargee's MMPI federal prisoner classification was used to determine validity with prisoners. Similarities and differences were examined and predictive validity was tested. It was concluded that the Megargee system can be used in grouping state prisoners. (Author/RC)

Results indicated little or no correspondence between self-report scores and behavior in a contrived in vivo setting or between role play and behavior with a sample of college students. Assertion was enhanced in the role play condition, but not in the contrived in vivo condition. (JAC)

The behavioral symptoms of children with speech and language disorders (mean age approximately 6 years) were studied with a teacher and a parent questionnaire.
