This paper focuses upon patterns of alcohol abuse and permissiveness among a sample of 230 high school students residing in a U.S. military community in Europe. A study of 16 children with autism, 16 typical children, and 16 children with Downs syndrome (ages 3-6) investigated children's responses to separation and reunion with their mothers.
