Tyler, Forrest B. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1978
The concept of psychosocial competence, or psychological effectiveness is investigated via three studies on college and high school students. The Behavioral Attributes of Psychosocial Competence measure used in these studies were found to differentiate between students rated competent or not competent by external sources. (JKS)

The Kinesthetic Aftereffect (KAE) has been criticized as a personality measure because of its poor retest reliability and questionable validity. WISC and WISC-R IQs of two groups of normal 10-year-old children from divergent socioeconomic backgrounds were compared in a counter-balanced research design. Significantly higher WISC IQs were obtained on Verbal and Full Scales of low socioeconomic group and on Performance and Full Scales of high socioeconomic group. (Author)

Thompson, Bruce; And Others – Psychology in the Schools, 1978
A random sample of all sixth-grade students enrolled in a large urban school district completed the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. The correspondence of test vectors measured by the test was analyzed. Results suggest that the ITBS does not measure exactly the same constructs across student ethnic groups. (Author)

Good measurement of sexism depends on a determination of the dimensionality of this attitude, as well as on reliability and validity. Four studies investigated the dimensionality of sexism and the nature of the dimensions to assure that none represents superficial responding.
