Recognising the urgent need to open a global discussion about education, the OECD launched the "Future of Education and Skills 2030" project. The project aims to support countries in adapting their education systems by considering the types of 21st century competencies (knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values) that students and teachers need to thrive in the future. Following a description of the OECD Future of Education and Skills 2030 project background, this document is comprised of the following concept notes: (1) OECD Learning Compass 2030; (2) Student Agency for 2030; (3) Core Foundations for 2030; (4) Transformative Competencies for 2030; (5) Knowledge for 2030; (6) Skills for 2030; (7) Attitudes and Values for 2030; and (8) Anticipation-Action-Reflection Cycle for 2030.
